Start with your electricity bill

If your big loads are at night, pairing a modest system with a battery is smarter than simply going bigger.

  • 10–15kW+: large homes, shops and small businesses with heavy daytime load.

Factor in roof space and future needs

Each kilowatt of panels needs roughly 60–80 square feet of shade-free roof. It is also worth planning for the future — a new AC, an electric vehicle or a growing family can all increase your load. A good installer will size your system with a little headroom and a clear upgrade path.
